Important Dates & Information
Spring is in the air! It’s so nice to finally have some sunny days for the kids to be outside in the fresh air! Our staff had their Biannual First Aid and CPR recertification training on Monday, February 17th . You can see pictures of the staff training on our Instagram.
We would also like to welcome Ms. Stephanie in Room 2. She has been working in childcare since 2012. From ages infant up to school age. This year she will graduate with her associates in Child Development. She is beyond excited to start a new journey here at Kinderwood in Room 2. Aside from work, she spends time with her son. Their favorite thing to do and watch is sports. Please take a moment to welcome and introduce yourself to her.
We also need to address some safety concerns. It is imperative that you always keep your children with you and under your direct supervision. This includes older and younger siblings. Children may not play in the hallways or other classrooms. This is for safety as well as to stop the spread of germs from classroom to classroom. Please help to remind your children that we ALWAYS walk in the hallways. Please be sure to always check your child in and out with the teacher. This way we can be sure they are in or have been removed from our daily counts. It is also a great way to check in for an update.
This brings us to parking lot safety. Our children are small. Most cannot be seen over the hood of a car. You should always be holding your child’s hand while in the parking lot. Please don’t drive TOO FAST in our parking lot. Parents are feeling a time pressure to get to school before the cut off or because they are late to get to their important jobs/meeting. There is not an acceptable reason to speed in our parking lot. The red curbs are not acceptable to ever park at. All children must be in their classroom by 9am. This does not mean in the parking lot or in the office being signed or even using the front bathrooms. Your child must be IN THEIR classrooms fully separated from their parent and ready to learn. It is Kinderwood’s Policy NOT to accept children after 9am. (A policy every family has signed) We have been very forgiving and understanding. The only exception is if you have notified the office 24 hours in advance about a doctor’s appointment. We understand that this can be hard for families and can be disruptive to your day. However, we have this policy so that the classroom can run smoothly.
Note: If you are wanting breakfast you must be in your room by 7:55am. Breakfast is removed from the rooms at 8am sharp. One more fun thing…. Our Class T-Shirts have had their final approval. We should expect delivery in the next 6 weeks. We cannot wait to see the final product! Thank you again to all our wonderful families for being a part of Kinderwood. We are truly grateful for each day that we get to share in the life of your child.

“I am a single Dad of 2 very energetic boys. My boys can not wait to get up in the morning and come to Kinderwood. The staff has always been very supportive and understanding of our situation. They care for the whole family not just the child.”
“My child has been attending Kinderwood for 2 years. During her time here I have seen her grow by leaps and bounds. She is growing up so fast right before my very eyes.”
