August is here! Cannot believe how fast our summer is going. July was packed full of field trips and our special Grandparents Appreciation Picnic. Thank you again to all the chaperones who helped on field trips. I know I have said it before, but we could not do field trips with out parent participation. Thank you to all the grandparents who attended our Appreciation Picnic. It is always our pleasure to meet extended family and to recognize what you bring to the children’s lives.
August has many fun things planned as well! This week we are wrapping up music week. The children have learned about different musical instruments and learned so many new songs. Next week is Animal week. They will be learning about different species & habitats. On Thursday August 9th, we have Lil Reds Barnyard coming to our school. She will be bringing multiple animals for the children to pet and even to ride! The best part is all classrooms will be able to participate.
Then we have SPORTS WEEK!! Who doesn’t love sports week. Each day will have its own sports theme. We ask that you dress in the days sports apparel. M: Soccer T: Baseball W: Hockey TH: Basketball F: Football. Each day we will focus our learning on that sport and in general what it means to be a “team player”.
At this point most of our Kindergartners should be off to their new adventures at their elementary schools and most of our children should have moved into their new classrooms. This week is also Community Helpers week. M: Police T Firemen W: Vet TH: Dr F: Mailman. The firemen and a police officer will be visiting the children.
The new Tuition Agreement and Infant Needs and Service Forms are due by Friday, August 24th. All new rates are effective September 1st. Every child must have a tuition agreement in their file. All children under 2 years of age must complete a new Infant Needs and Service Form quarterly.
We will end the summer program with our Transition and Getting to know you weeks. During these weeks your children ill spend time getting to know their new environment, new teachers and new expectations. It is also a great time for you to get to know the teacher, classrooms and expectations. Do not be afraid to ask questions.
Few fall reminders (Yes, I am talking about fall already)
” Being a mom of 4 Children and having been through the terrible two’s with all of them, I found that the t two year old teachers were all very helpful and understanding. They gave the children nothing but love and support.”
“I am a single Dad of 2 very energetic boys. My boys can not wait to get up in the morning and come to Kinderwood. The staff has always been very supportive and understanding of our situation. They care for the whole family not just the child.”
“My child has been attending Kinderwood for 2 years. During her time here I have seen her grow by leaps and bounds. She is growing up so fast right before my very eyes.”
