Can you believe we are already to July? Many of your children have started their transitions to their new rooms. If your child has not transitioned yet, do not worry. All children will transition by August 20th. Children are transitioned into the next room based on a few variables.
It is a careful balancing act. We understand that some children are experiencing some separation anxiety form their peers and some from their former teachers. We have the children who we expect to be transitioning visit in the next room often before their official transition date.
July is a very busy month with many exciting activities.
Starting with Crazy Week!
Then we have Space Week! 3…2…1… Blast Off!
This is a family favorite week: 16th – 20th is Grandparent Appreciation Week
Next, we have science week. Each classroom will be doing a variety of science and sensory activities. Be sure to check your child’s parent board to see the lesson plans.
We will end the month with Music Week. Every classroom will be making different musical instruments, dancing, singing and experiencing music from different genres. This will lead us into August where we will really have to start saying some goodbyes as our final Kindergarten children begin their new adventures. However, before we say our final goodbyes we have a Petting Zoo coming to Kinderwood on August 9th!
I know the children will have an amazing summer and make plenty of great memories with their friends and teachers. Please feel free to join us for all or some of our special events. Reminder fieldtrips are not possible with out the amazing parents who offer their time and energy to chaperone.
One last reminder about summer safety! Please be sure to sunscreen your child before they come to school. You may also send a hat for them to wear while outside on the playground. Be sure that the hat is clearly labeled with the child’s name.
If you have any other questions or concern about the summer program, the school, a classroom or about your child do not hesitate to see the office. We are here to help. Thank you for sharing your children with us.
